Worthington food shelves receive donations

WORTHINGTON — Redwood Farms Meat Processors employees recently visited the Worthington Christian Church Food Shelf and Manna Food Pantry in Worthington to present monetary donations to each entity.

Redwood Farms Meat Processors is under the umbrella of Farmers Union Industries.

“Farmers Union Industries employees are proud to be a part of the communities in which we live and work. As part of our appreciation and giving back, we are donating a total of $ 30,000 to our local community food shelves,” according to Cheri Johnson, marketing coordinator. “The money will be dispersed between 21 different area food shelves in Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota.
